What Makes Brinkburn St Brewery and Tap House Different?

Brinkburn St Brewery was formed in Byker, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in January 2015, making this year our 7th anniversary. It's been quite the journey up to this point since our days in our first brewery at Hoult’s Yard on Brinkburn Street in Byker. In November 2017 we moved our brewery to our present location on Ford Street in the heart of the Ouseburn Valley where we brought to life our taphouse, restaurant and events spaces.

We Can't Thank Our Customers Enough For All Their Support...

The past two years of covid have been a bumpy ride for the hospitality sector. Brinkburn St survived by continuing to brew, make food and serve our customers through deliveries and takeaways.
During these difficult times we really felt the support from our fantastic community keeping us running.
We're proud to announce we've come out the other side better and stronger as a result.

THE OTHER SIDE:

BREWING

2021 has been our most productive year for both quantity and range of beer styles, brewed by Brinkburn St Brewery...

Over the past 12 months we have developed over 20 new beers to add to our, 12 beer, long standing core range.
We now brew three NewEngland IPAs ranging from our Cushty Cushy (ABV 4.2%) Session NEIPA, Hit The North (ABV5.6%) and Groovy Juice (ABV 6.0%), all made with flaked oats to make them lovely, orangey and murky.

We also have three West Coast IPAs ranging from our easy-drinkingFord St IPA (ABV 4.7%), Hop Gremlin (ABV 5.6%) and The Wrong Side of The Pennines (ABV7.5%) with extra, resiny bitterness.

Finally we have added another two ‘modern’ IPAs to our range: Wayward Son (ABV 6.8%) a super-hoppy, ‘dank’ IPA and Fools Gold 2022 a bitter, ‘Cold IPA’ lager/west coast hybrid.

BRINKBURN EVENTS

MALING HALL

We are approaching the 4th Birthday of our Tap house, Restaurant and Maling Hall Events Space, in the heart of the Ouseburn Valley.

We hold larger events in our upstairs event space, ‘Maling Hall’ which is an excellent choice for hosting birthdays, functions, weddings, and special events. With a beautifully curated warehouse space, the Maling Hall function room caters for up to 250 guests with a wide range of food and drink catering options.
You can trust our wedding planners and events co-ordinators to work with you to ensure we provide you with your perfect event for you to remember!

WHAT WE DO

Experience our beers when they are freshest, straight from our onsite brewery...

We have a wide range of brewed beers to suit every pallet with typically over 15 beers available at anyone time on keg and cask in our Taphouse. Why not book one of our all inclusive Brewery Tours and come taste them for yourself, we promise there is no better way. 
Brinkburn St positions itself as ‘The Last Outpost in Byker’ and provides an excellent alternative to your standard evening out in town. With a lovely classic pub atmosphere 7days a week downstairs, and  regular DJ Residencies and parties, upstairs in our Mailing Hall event space.
